Btelinx Results: Karnataka government founded DTE in 1959. DTE is the short form of Department of Technical Education in Karnataka. Before 1959, it was widely known as occupational institutes.  It provided good quality technical skills. But, later when the number increased they came under DTE. It is fully controlled by MHE, Karnataka. Ministry of Higher education is the full form of MHE.

The Board of technical examination conducts the 3-year diploma courses. The results for 23rd November 2016 (Wednesday) till 8th December 2016 exams are out on the website.  

Steps to Check the Btelinx Results 2020

  1. The students who appeared for the 1st, 3rd and 5th-semester exams can see the results online. The results are on the website as soon as they are available for publishing.
  2. First of all, if the student is a transfer student from another institute then the institute code is critical. In case there is no transfer then the student can leave this field as blank.
  3. The second column is the main columnHere the student needs to input the correct registration number. In the case where this info is not correct then the page will show an error.
  4. At last, the student can choose the semester from 1 to 6 in the drop-down box. Once, all the info is provided the student can click on the get results submission button.

The students need to know that the online results are not final. Until and unless the students have the printed copy of marks sheet with them the results are not final. So, students need to take care of this aspect.

Further, if there are errors the students can take up the matter with the examiner. The final decision is with the office of BTE. However, ample space for discussion is there if the students may so demand.  The first person to contact in case of result dispute the principal in charge of the department.

The latest results are online since 12 Jan 2017 (Thursday). The link provided here will take the students to the exam page. The students need to provide certain info before they can have access to the results.

The students who had to go through the re-evaluation due to failing in exam can access the results online now. The board of examination has put forth the result son its website.

Steps To Follow To Access The Reevaluation Results

  1. The first step in the process is to visit this page on the internet.
  2. Then with care enter the registration number provided by the institute.
  3. At last, click on the Reval list to access the results of reevaluation.

The latest evaluation results available for the students is from Nov/Dec 2016 exams. The later exam results are not out yet.

If there is an issue with the results then the student can approach the department. The first person to contact is the Principal of the institute.

About Karnataka Diploma Education

DTE has many well-known bodies like the government of India, AICTE, NITTTR and much more. All India Council for Technical Education is a full form of AICTE. It has its main office in Bangalore.

Shri H. U. Talwar is the current director of DTE. He is serving the DTE department from 2009.

DTE main aim was to make sure the best quality of technical education. It gave need-based skills to the people who can’t afford it. It aimed to build a better system flexible to the changing needs of society. Its focus was on the women, rural area and other backwards people. DTE Karnataka also laid its focus on developing students career though proper guidance and much more.

It offers full-time diploma courses in all types of courses. DTE Karnataka offers a diploma in a total of 45 technical courses. On the other hand, 4 of them are non-technical courses. It has over 81 government polytechnic, 11 engineering colleges and 6 junior schools giving technical skills. It has around 2900 staff members and 1300 workshop staff. And, it has over 2 lakh students studying in it.

DTE gives admissions by the end of April month or at the start of May month. Application forms are available at the given nodal centres. Students can verify their documents at the centre or by online process. They must fulfil the eligibility conditions to apply. But, it gives admissions in diploma on the basis of merit in each class. Btelinx gives admission in non-technical courses on the basis of the tenth exam.

DTE Karnataka gives admissions in engineering through the common test. It offers lateral entry in these courses.

Karnataka Diploma Exam Details

DTE has both dual semester and annual exam system. For some of its academic courses, it has the year divided into odd and even semester. But, for some courses, it conducts exams once a year.
Every year, it conducts even semester exams by the end of April or May month. It has also scheduled odd semester exams in the mid of November or December month. All the other courses have their nearby dates fixed in the same month. Time table for all the courses is available to check on its website.


DTE applies some rules and regulates for students to give the exam. They have attendance fulfilling criteria as its first and important rule to give the exam. And, those students who do not qualify cannot give the exam. For them, it has a re-exam system. Re-exam is also allowed for the students who fail in their exams. DTE conducts them along with the regular exams.
Last time, the students had their odd semester exam in the month of November 2015. However, even semester exams began from April and continued until May. Students had their supplementary exams with other regular exams.

Results for an odd semester are likely declared before the end of March. And, end semester results can be accessible in July. DTE has allotted same month for the supply results. Mostly, other course results are also available in the nearby dates.

Students can easily check their results on the website However; students need to have the details of their institution code, hall ticket number and semester while checking results. To view results, for both supply and regular exam, students have to follow the above steps.
Last time, DTE declared the students, from all courses, to check their results on 13 July 2016. However, it scheduled 12 February 2016 to announce even semester result.
