Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, in Hyderabad, is a government-financed university. It is also called as JNTU. JNTU is the short form of its name. By an act of State Legislature, the government founded it as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College in 1965. Later by JNTU act, it became a university also including two other colleges. But in 2008 by JNTU act, it was split into four universities.
- S. L. Narasimhan is the current Chancellor of it. He is the governor of Tengalana. And, Prof. A. Venugopal Reddy is the Vice Chancellor of it.
JNTU is one of the best universities giving best quality education in engineering. It offers 25 bachelors and 77 post graduate courses. Every year, it offers 1000 seats in academic courses. It got ‘A’ grade certification from NAAC. NAAC is a short form of National Assessment and Accreditation council.
It gives admissions in all the courses in the month of July. It conducts tests to give admissions to the students. The rank scored in the test decides the fate of the student. For post-graduate courses, they have to complete their bachelor’s. It gives admission on the basis of the marks scored in GATE exam. They have to give the interview for external research programs.
It also offers admission to the foreigners. They have to meet the qualification conditions for applying here. But, it does not offer any scholarship to them.
It offers lateral entry to the students who have completed their diploma. But, they have to qualify in the entrance tests. Also, it offers part-time courses in bachelors and post-graduate studies.
JNTU Exam Time Table
JNTU has its academic year divided into two parts that is odd and even semester. It conducts exams in November and April month. It schedules even semester exams to start by the end of April month or in the start May month. While, November month or in December are for odd semester exams. Exam schedule for the entire course are same. To check the date sheet, students should visit the university web portal.
JNTU has some conditions set for appearing in exams. These are getting the 40% in exam besides fulfilling attendance norms. Students who don’t qualify these conditions have to reaper in the exam. For both semesters, they start after the regular exams.
JNTU conducts advanced supply exams in the mid of semester. For the odd semester, they begin in mid of the year. Students have to pay the exam fee to give them.
Last year, all the students gave their odd semester exams from 9 November 2015. And, they gave even semester exams in the mid of April. Odd semester re exams began by the end of November. And, that for the other end semester began from the first week of March.
JNTU Results Declaration Details
Results for November exam are available in the month of February. On the other hand, that for April exams is available in August. Results for supplementary exams are accessible at the same time. Students from any course can check their result at the same date.
Results are available on the website www.jntuhresults.in. But, students have to give some of their details. They should fill in their hall ticket number and date of birth to check results. The same method is applicable to view their supplementary results.
The recent even semester exams were available to check from 3 August 2016. While, results for November exams were accessible in February 2016.However, the university presented Supply exams results on 15 July 2016.
