KUK Result Date Sheet Updates: Kurukshetra University, found on 11 January 1957 in Kurukshetra, a state of Haryana. The Department of Sanskrit was the first department of the college .Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India laid its first stone.
The University was an idea of the then Punjab Governor, Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, a Sanskrit scholar.
The Chancellor of the college is Kaptan Singh Solanki, the governor of Haryana and the Vice-Chancellor is Dr. Kailash Chandra Sharma.
Today, the University offers a high level education to students from all over India and also those from outside India. It provides its students a unique learning experience by developing different abilities as well as moral values. This university is also a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities.
The academy has 445 teaching faculty members. It also has 457 different colleges and institutions affiliated to it. These colleges lie in the districts of Ambala, Panipat, Kaithal, Yamuna Nagar, Hisar, Fatehabad, Jind, Karnal, Sirsa, Kurukshetra and Panchkula.

The official website of the University posts the results in a few weeks from the exam.The academy posted the results on 12-December and even semester on 25-May last year.
The minimum marks required to qualify each theory paper is 40% and practical is 40% as well. And to appear in the exam, a student must have at least 65% attendance. If unqualified, the student will have to reappear in the exam in the upcoming semester. Same applied for the one’s who fail the exam.

If missed the exam, due to any reason, the Chairperson/Director/Principal of the Department/College/Institute will decide the case on his own level.
Kurukshetra University Infrastructure
Located in the holy city of Kurukshetra, land of the historical battle of ‘Mahabharata’ and the great message of Bhagwad Gita, its campus is on the western bank of Brahm Sarover and extends over an area of over 400 acres.
The campus of the academy, rated as one of the best in India. There is connection between the University and nature. It has gardens, water fountains and side walks which provides the students equal opportunities of study and leisure. KUK University also has a lecture theaters, seminar rooms, transport, canteens, shops and sport facilities, libraries and laboratories. It resembles a large, self-contained village.
Through all these years, the academy has provided various courses in engineering, arts and language, commerce and management, law, science, life sciences, education, etc. It also provides an on campus hostel facility to 3046 boys and 3326 girls in 25 hostels.
KUK Distance Learning
The Kurukshetra University also provides a distance learning facility from the past 35 years. The Dictorate of Distance Education provides the students with a door-step education for those who don’t have access to education or by any means are unable to opt into a college. Their motive being ‘ reaching the unreached’.
KUK Eligibility and Admission
The University admits students on the basis of an entrance test, and also provides relaxations to category students. Students can fill the admission forms online on www.kuk.ac.in and pay a registration fee to appear in the test.
For being able to appear in the entrance test, the student must have qualified 10+2 or matric with at-least 50% marks in approximate.
Admission in this university starts from around the first week of July and lasts upto August. In case of a tie between two students who have gained same marks, selection is of the one with higher marks in qualifying examination, that is either 10+2 or matric or the student who is older.
There is also a reservation of seats. It is as per the Reservation Policy of Haryana Govt. and State govt. Reservation is as : SC-20% , Backward classes of Haryana- 27%, Economically backward- 10% , Physically Challenged- 3% and Ex-Servicemen or their dependents-3%.
Kurukshetra University also provides various scholarships based on the merits of the students in different genres. It also has a strict anti-ragging policy for students.
KUK Date Sheet Download and Semester Examination Details
The Kurukshetra University follows the dual semester that is odd and even semester system. The odd semester exams which happen in November followed by a winter vacation. The even semesters start from January and conduct exams in April or March followed by a summer vacation.
In 2016, the odd semester will take place in the second week of November and the even semester, in the last week of April. The fee of each exam is between 500-3500 INR.
The branch of Distance learning also follows the same trend of dual semester and the exams are help in the same pattern. Last year the odd semester occurred on 24-November and even semester on 30-April.
