Located on the outskirts of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is one of the largest university of MP and it spreads over a vast expanse of 247 acres. Established under Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha act in 1998. Named after Lt. Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. RGPV gives quality education in technical and research field since its establishment in 1998.
Prof. Piyush Trivedi is the vice-chancellor of RPGV and serving since August 2008.
There are many UTD’s, affiliated Engineering, pharmacy, MCA, architecture and diploma colleges. They come under RGPV and offer various graduate and post-graduate courses .AICTE has approved RGPV under it. It has many departments dedicated to providing high-quality technical education. It consists of UIT, School of Information technology, School of Engineering & environment management, School of Biotechnology, School of nanotechnology, School of pharmaceutical science, University dual degree and other. It provides regular, full-time and online courses. RGPV offers various engineering Undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral courses. It also provides 3 years diploma courses in many streams.
The RGPV provides a large number of facilities to its students. It is an ideal place for the students to pursue a sound career. It has great infrastructure, campus placements, the expert faculty and E-library. RGPV has also collaborated with ISRO and started an EDUSAT based classroom program. This program connects RGPV with 62 affiliated institutions in Madhya Pradesh.
Students can apply for the admissions in B.E/B.tech and architecture courses. The RGPV considers their JEE-mains score and 12th marks merit. For polytechnic courses, 10th and 12th STD students have to go through a state level PPT entrance exam. The University considers the GATE/Non-GATE score for admissions in all post-graduate courses like ME/M.Tech. The counseling procedure for admissions starts in the month of July.

RGPV conducts semester/yearly pattern exams for the regular, private and distance students for all the courses. The odd semester practical and written examinations start in the month of November-December while the even semester exams start in May-June. RGPV has recently conducted the even semester examinations for BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech and MCA in the month of June for the academic year 2016-17. RGPV publish the timetable for all the upcoming examinations on its official site.

The grading system used by the university in these examinations is also present on their official portal. Admit cards are available on the main site 10 days before the start of the examinations. Last year, University conducted the odd semester examinations for B.E and other degrees in the month of November 2015 while even semester exams held in May 2015. RGPV Result Declaration
University declares the result in March/April for the odd semester exam (grading/Non-grading) held in the month of Dec-Jan. The results for the even semester are out by September. RGPV publishes the result on their official site for the main exams, revaluations and challenge. Students can view their RGPV results by selecting their course and providing their enrollment number. Last Year University declared the odd semester results in April 2015 and even semester results during mid of September.
Students of various courses can apply for their degree online on the RGPV portal. For this, they have to first register themselves on the main site and make an online application payment of INR 250 via internet banking
