VTU Time Table Updates
Examinations take place twice in an academic year. The odd and even semester system is customary. The University comes up with the required updates. The students can follow the website links to get the details of the exams. The Even semester tests take place from the months of February until May. At the same, time the Odd semester takes place from August until December.
The exams start with practical and then theoretical, ending with the project works. All the processes get over within the exam timetable. In a case of an unplanned holiday then the next working day is the exam day.
University has uploaded the latest updates of the Odd semester on its website. The commencement date is from 1 August until December. MBA candidates need to submit their project work after the theoretical exams. The faculty liable for the exams is available for the ease of the exam takers. On the calendar of events, the Registrar issues the notice from time to time.
The examination management system controls the whole process of exams by electronic means. It is a database of all information circulating the university. The Examination fee for the exam and exam revaluation form is INR 10. The examination fee for UG courses is rs500. And, for PG courses, it is INR 1000. For marks card the fee is INR 50. Fee for revaluation of answer script is rs400 per subject. A fee of rs500 is applicable for a consolidated statement of marks card from first to eighth semester.
VTU Centralised Placement Cell
The University offers its student a chance to feel interview with leading industrial firms. The concept of the placement cell is simple, that is to provide help to the most eligible suitor. The colleges have their own way of placing the students. VTU brings all the industry onto one stage. Both the candidates and the hiring firms enjoy such a setup.

VTU Class Declaration
To be the first class with merit the candidate needs to clear all exams with 70% marks in the first attempt. Those candidates who pass exams with 60% -70% in the first attempt get first class. At last, those who score below 60% marks comes in the group of the second class.
VTU Correction in Marks Cards
The candidates have the option to notify the office of any issue with registration. Problems arising related to the name or other such personal details. The Registrar’s office is liable for such corrections. A demand draft of rs200 is chargeable for any type of corrections. The office of the registrar holds the authority to consider such issues as genuine or not. Demand Draft is rs200 per marks card.
There is also a provision for duplicate marks card. If the candidate has lost the marks card, he or she can approach the office a duplicate marks card. The candidate should provide police complaint as evidence to request the duplicate marks card. A charge of rs150 is chargeable. Again, the office of the Registrar handles the sending of duplicate marks card.
NFTC – Not Fit for Technical Course
A candidate who fails to meet eligibility for the third semester will need to stop the course. Still, such candidates can go for readmission to the first year in the B.E/B. Tech. The candidate must complete the course within eight years from the date of admission. Thus, it implies that the candidate needs to complete the course within the set time.

Denial of semester results is possible through a proposal of claim to the registrar. A candidate if he or she wants to, can reject the full semester results. But, they cannot reject the result of just one subject. In the case of rejection, the candidate needs to fill out the readmission form. And, go through the full course process from the start including the internal tests. The rejection form must reach the registrar office, thirty days from the result notice.
